How did you two meet? I’ve known Ross’ dad George for a long time, but not his kids. My dad worked for their family business when I was little. Ross and I both lived in Eugene, Oregon but met by coincidence in Chicago IL, in September 2007. He was on vacation with his dad and brother. They were headed to see the Oregon Ducks play at Michigan. The boys stopped in Chicago first, to catch a Cubs game. I happened to be in Chicago on vacation with friends to catch a couple Cubs games also. I was at The Cubbie Bear, a pub across the street from Wrigley Field one afternoon. I was sitting at the bar with my friends when I heard someone behind me say my name. Who would know me in Chicago? I turned to see George Myrmo sitting at a table behind us with a couple of people. I went over, hugged George, and he introduced me to his two sons.

We spoke briefly, nibbled on food, and drank some Old Style. That was it. We went on to the baseball game separately. Later that same night, Ross and I crossed paths yet AGAIN, at a night club downtown. Twice in one day. As it turns out we knew some of the same people and ended up in a large group together at the club. We sat and talked again that night, but briefly. Ross was a perfect gentleman. A photo was taken of George, Ryan (his brother), Ross & me that evening which is now in a frame by our bed. I had no idea I was sitting next to the man I was going to marry. The following Spring, On April 30th, 2008 we went on our first date. It was love at first sight for me. I told my grandma immediately, that this was the man I was going to marry. She still takes credit for it.

How long have you been together? Since April, 2008.

How did he propose? Shortly after our first date, Ross took me to Bend for the weekend. We had a great time together. On the way home, Ross suggested we stop by Sahalie Falls since I hadn’t ever been there. It was magnificent! The waterfall was huge, and the foliage was luscious and green! I leaned against the wood railing to take in the scenery and watch the beautiful waterfall. I looked down and saw my name carved into the wooden railing right

in front of me! I pointed it out to Ross. Then we quickly noticed to the left of it was Ross’ name too…Then, sure enough, someone had carved a “+” between the two! How did you two meet? We met through mutual friends in August 2009. It is debatable on whether or not our friends were trying to set us up. Ralph and I have different versions of this night. On his side it was a set up, but for me it was not. We didn t start dating until about 8 months after the day we met.

How long have you two been together? Since April 2009. So about 3 years.

How did he propose? Ralph picked me up after I got home from work saying he wanted to head to the cost for the evening. It’s about an hour drive and not out of the ordinary for him to want to head over there. So we packed up the dog and started driving.

We got lucky that it was not windy and wasn t too cold. We got to our usual spot on the beach and Ralph put down the blanket. By this time I was starting to think something might be up, but nothing out of the ordinary had happened yet. Then he breaks out two glasses and a bottle of wine, now I m starting to figure it out. He brought my lap top with us was trying to do something on it. Of course the computer did not want to cooperate. He made several attempts to no avail. I finally jumped on the computer and was able to get the video to play. Apparently he had been working for a couple months on a you changed your mind on?

Were there any wedding plans that didn’t work out or you changed your mind on? Yes! It was supposed to be outside by the river. But it was so cold and rainy that we had to move it inside. Guess that’s the life of a wedding in Oregon. But it was still perfect. Everyone was warm and the sun came out for pictures.

What were your wedding colors? Black and Purple.

What was your experience like looking for wedding gowns at Blush Bridal? I had been to other Bridal stores to try on gowns but it wasn t as fun as I thought it would be. I didn t get the  bridal experience. My cousin went to Blush to try on gowns and I went with her. She bought her gown at Blush as well. After seeing her experience I knew I had to come back. I had a blast. You get a private room and full attention from the consultant. Shauna was the BEST!
